Just more proof that the wheels of government turn slowly, the hearing on the Protect Florida Small Business Act has been postponed until the first week of April. The Protect Florida Small Business Act, which was to be heard next Tuesday in Tallahassee, is an excellent piece of legislation that would restore some semblance of balance to the franchisee-franchisor relationship in the Sunshine State. The bill is before the Florida Senate Committee on Regulated Industries. The delay will allow Florida franchisees additional time to contact their state senators and representatives and implore them to support local small business men and women by supporting the Protect Florida Small Business Act (SB 750).
