With Ohio Governor John Kasich’s presidential campaign still alive after he won the Buckeye State republican primary this week, could Ohio legislators be looking at slipping a minimum wage increase through while he’s not looking?  Columbus Representative Hearcel Craig along with Representative Kent Smith of Euclid filed a bill last week that would increase the current minimum wage of $8.10 to $10.10 an hour and continue to tether future increases to the inflation rate.  With the Ohio House of Representatives controlled by a republican majority, it is unlikely that the effort will go very far, but these initiatives continue to surface and generate discussion.
