A presentation on the status of the organization, its current position, and its future direction.  Speakers will discuss the issues seen on the horizon for the organization and how DDIFO/IAFO can best position itself for continued growth and success and better serve the Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee community in future years.

1:15-2:15 PM  –  Mr. Gene Marks, Author, Columnist and Small Business Owner
“Profiting Under Obama: How Smart Business Owners Will Succeed!”
Gene Marks is an author and columnist who writes weekly columns and blogs for the New York Times, Forbes, The Huffington Post and others.  He is read by thousands of small and mid-sized business owners around the country.  Through his keynotes, workshops, seminars, and executive retreats, Gene helps business owners understand the latest trends that will affect their companies so they can make profitable decisions.  In the face of “Obamacare”, these trends and decisions become even more important!

2:15-3:15  PM – Dawn L. Wright, Vice President – Qual Care, Inc.
Dawn Wright joined QualCare, Inc. in 1995 after receiving her BS Degree in Marketing/Business Administration from West Virgina University.  She has since earned her New Jersey Insurance Producers License and currently serves as the Vice President of Regional & Specialty Accounts.  She is currently responsible for the planning, development and on-going management of Multiple Employer Welfare Arrangement (MEWA) and Association Health Plans in New Jersey and Georgia.  She coordinates with the Department of Labor and State Insurance Departments, negotiates outside vendor contracts and is responsible for all MEWA sales and service.

3:30 – 4:30 PM – Attorney Tracy Armstrong, Lomurro, Davison, Eastman & Munoz
 “Staying Ahead of Employment Law Rulings!”
Tracy Armstrong is with the Corporate/Commercial and Civil Litigation Department of Lomurro, Davison, Eastman & Munoz.  A recognized expert in employment and labor law, she conducts regular seminars on a variety of employment issues and frequently appears before the NJ Wage and Hour Board as well as the Department of Unemployment.  Attorney Armstrong regularly provides her clients with advice and counsel in drafting and reviewing employee handbook/manuals covering the full spectrum of employment law in New Jersey.  She is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and resides in Farmingdale.

4:30 – 5:00 PM –  DDIFO Town Meeting
We will wrap up the day’s events with a discussion of the issues most important to you, the Dunkin’ Donuts Independent Franchise Owners and the members if the DDIFO, Inc.  During the Town Hall Meeting, we will also discuss the wisdom and process by which we can create and fund an effective political action committee (PAC) to help us better represent our interests in the State House in Trenton!

5:00 – 7:00 PM – Cocktails and conclusion
A wrap up of the day’s events and an opportunity for the franchise owners to enjoy cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres with our program sponsors, discuss their valuable products and services and thank them for their support!
