Opinions of whether, how and when individual states should re-open for business in light of the coronavirus crisis are as diverse as one can imagine. That said, there are no fewer than a dozen states across the nation committed to opening their economies as soon as today. Four states (Alaska, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee) began the reopening process last week and a number of others, including Florida, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and parts of Iowa, have partially lifted “stay-at-home” orders this week. In addition, a host of others have pushed the re-openings off for another week or two. In each of these states however, restaurant openings are generally being allowed for only a percentage of total legal customer capacity.
