Former Owner of Nature’s Best Dairy Has Long-Standing Relationships with Dunkin’
Donuts Franchise Owners

Allen Cicchitelli joins the DDIFO Board of Directors.

The DD Independent Franchise Owners Group (DDIFO), which represents the largest association of Dunkin’ Donuts franchise owners in the US, is pleased to announce the addition of Rhode Island businessman Allen Cicchitelli to the DDIFO Board of Directors.

In 1976, Cicchitelli took over Nature’s Best Dairy in Cranston, RI and began selling milk, cream and other products to more than 150 Dunkin’ Donuts franchise owners in the Northeast. Over the course of 24 years, Cicchitelli grew the business by 100 times, opened Dairy World–a well-known Rhode Island attraction–and forged numerous relationships with business leaders, politicians and civic associations. He sold the business in 2000 and now operates Northeast Ventures, a real estate management and holding company.

“For most of my career I have know and done business with many Dunkin’ Donuts franchise owners. I have always looked at the Dunkin’ Donuts business from the franchisee perspective and believe they are the wheel that turns the business,” said Cicchitelli. “I am excited about working with DDIFO to help protect their interests.”

DDIFO’s Board of Directors is comprised of seven professionals who are not franchise owners. Aside from Cicchitelli they include: Tom Colitsas, Mark Dubinsky, Pat Kaufmann, Joseph Kimball, Asheesh Seth and Chairman Dan Connelly.

“I believe Allen will add a strong voice to our board,” said Connelly. “His experience doing business with Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees will provide a new perspective to our ongoing discussions about how to protect franchisee equity.”

Created in 1989, DDIFO is the largest, independent organization of Dunkin’ Donuts franchise owners. DDIFO’s mission is to protect, enhance and defend the business interests of its member Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees. Learn more at
