Notwithstanding the end of the Paycheck Protection Program and the launch of the forgiveness portal as detailed above, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) still has more than $27 billion left in its Targeted Economic Injury Disaster Loan Advance (EIDL) grant program months after the program launched. Notwithstanding the availability of billions more in funding, the program’s deadline is coming at the end of this year. The SBA has confirmed that the program deadline of December 31, 2021 is firm and there are no plans for it to be extended, however the agency will continue accepting applications until all funds are expended or the program expires. To help publicize the availability of the Targeted EIDL Advance program, the SBA Office of Capital Access is hosting a small business webinar series “Getting Back on Track” with Public Private Strategies Institute on the EIDL program. The webinar, which was offered a couple of times this past week will also be presented on Monday, August 2 at 12:00 Noon (register here), and at 6:00 PM (register here) or next Thursday, August 5 at 2:00 PM (register here). You can access more information and apply for the Targeted EIDL Advance Program on the SBA website.
