AB 525, the California Franchise Relations Act which was vetoed last year by Governor Brown, was heard before the Assembly’s Committee on Judiciary and passed favorably on to the Committee on Business and Professions.  The bill still has a long way to go, but it was refined from last year’s version to address concerns the Governor expressed and filed this session by the Assembly leadership, by Assembly Speaker Toni Atkins and Majority Floor Leader Chris Holden.  The Committee on Business and Professions has yet to schedule any deliberations on the bill.
