Although scheduled for this past week, the California Senate Business & Professions Committee delayed its hearing on AB525, the Fair Franchising legislation until this coming Tuesday, July 14.  Talks between the opposing sides on the bill continue and the Committee appears hopeful of resolving a number of sticking points before calling the measure for a full vote.  AB525 is a refined version of the bill that was vetoed at the 11th hour last session by Governor Jerry Brown.   It has already been approved by the state assembly, but still must clear the Senate.
