The Seahawk reports that it is the start of a new academic year at UNCW and with it comes new places to grab something to eat on campus. Three new locations have opened their doors and new healthy vending machines have been placed around campus.
Dub’s Café, located in the Warwick Center, is UNCW’s second and newest dining hall. Dunkin’ Donuts and the P.O.D. Market (Provisions on Demand) are two new additions located in the new resident hall area of the Seahawk Crossing.
The convenient location of Dunkin’ Donuts and the P.O.D. Market is a quick way for many students to grab a snack or lunch on the way to class. These places offer a variety of new food options with the grab-and-go theme, as well as different hours from Wagoner Dining Hall and The Hawk’s Nest. Dunkin’ Donuts is open until midnight or later, making it the only dining location of campus open past 10 p.m.
“Dunkin’ Donut’s hours are really good and work for students. It is nice to have a late night option on campus,” junior Jenna Roney said.
