The Coalition of Franchisee Associations, of which DDIFO is a founding member, commended the North American Securities Administrators Association (NSAAA) for the seven new sections it added to Item 19 of the Franchise Disclosure Document to further help guide regulators and protect investors from false or misleading Financial Performance Recommendations. The changes should help small businessmen and women make better educated decisions. Speaking of these changes, those who didn’t or couldn’t attend the CFA webinar on these new franchisor disclosure requirements are in luck – you can still access the materials from that important and informative program. Both a recording of the full hour–long presentation as well as the slide deck are available through the Coalition of Franchisee Associations. The program was held on July 26 and featured nationally recognized franchisee attorney Ron Gardner of the Minnesota law firm of Dady & Gardner.
