We’re just a little better than one month away from the Coalition of Franchisee Associations Lobby Day in Washington, DC., and if you haven’t yet done so, please sign up to attend and join your franchisee colleagues to speak with you representatives in Congress about the issues that most concern you and your business. On many occasions, we’ve written about the Coalition of Franchisee Associations (CFA) and how well that organization works on behalf of franchisees across the country – and from a broad array of different franchise systems. A couple of cases in point were quite evident recently. The first is an article that was published in Franchise Times recently focusing on the results of the recently conducted CFA Franchisee Survey. CFA surveyed almost 700 franchisees on issues involving FDDs, COVID, fair franchising, minimum wage and paid leave, among others. Secondarily, Cheddar News conducted an interview with CFA Vice Chairman Terry Hutchinson discussing the labor shortage as well as supply and other franchise related issues against the backdrop of the pandemic (Hutchinson is a 5 unit 7-Eleven franchisee in Florida). Dunkin’ franchise owner John Motta currently serves as Chairman of the CFA.
