It would appear that silly season is here in the Massachusetts Legislature – again, as the Joint Committee on Public Health this week advanced a bill that would phase out the use of standing chemical water for the cleaning of utensils, plates and beverage containers.  Under the provisions of S.1103, An Act relative to cleanliness in restaurants and bars, the use of standing chemical water would be discontinued as of January 1.  S.1103, which would apply to every club, hotel, pub brewery, restaurant and tavern in the Commonwealth is now in the Senate Ethics & Rules Committee.
