According to The World Bank Commodity Markets Review for Agriculture and Livestock, the wholesale price of a kilogram of Arabica coffee is now at $2.91, its lowest level in a number of years. The current price represents a 46.6% drop from January 2012 and an even more pronounced decline from its peak price of $6.50 back in early 2011. The Green Coffee Association has reported that stocks of unroasted coffee stored in the US rose to approximately 5.6 million 60-kilogram bags, the largest of coffee stored in domestic warehouses since July 2009!
