Tim Horton’s has been in the news over the past several weeks for a number of reasons. First, the Canadian coffee chain announced a few weeks ago that it was introducing flatbread pizzas as a new limited time offer at about 20 locations in the Toronto market. They followed that up by announcing the brand’s first location in Texas would open today (September 9) in the Houston suburb of Katy, Texas. And this week announced that from August 29 through September 25, its Rewards members can receive a free breakfast sandwich by ordering through the Tim Hortons app. While Wendy’s is dealing with the fallout from an E-coli outbreak at some of its restaurants in the Midwest (CDC recently announced 30 cases in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania), McDonald’s is resurrecting its cheese Danish as a new menu item beginning next week across the nation. The burger giant first offered a cheese Danish on its menu back in the 1980s.
