It was reported this week that Krispy Kreme Donuts has almost completed the national rollout of its mobile app and rewards program.  The company first began the mobile rewards program a number of months ago.  We also noted that McDonalds Corp is revamping their drive-thru procedures in the hope of improving their customer’s experience and possibly winning back some of their disgruntled customers.  The company has also tried to simplify the process by limiting the number of items on the drive-thru menu.  Lastly, we noted that the e coli scare on the west coast caused Starbucks to pull the holiday turkey sandwich from over 1300 stores across Oregon, Nevada and California because the celery the company uses from Taylor Farms Pacific was implicated in a number of e coli cases.
