Starbucks continues to expand its presence in meals sales and is now testing Snap Kitchen products in 5 stores within the Houston market. Snap Kitchens, based in Texas, specializes in healthier grab-and-go meals. Under new CEO Kevin Johnson, the company will be expanding the Snap Kitchen test to other areas soon, while at the same time, it is testing higher end foods, referred to as Mercado, at about 100 stores in the greater Chicago market.
