Following more slowly on the trend set by Texas and Mississippi when last week they removed all COVID related restrictions and shutdowns, a number of states this week have further relaxed their COVID related mandates on businesses operating at a percentage of full capacity. Specifically, the states of Arizona and Maryland have each announced that all capacity restrictions on restaurants will be lifted – Arizona as of last Friday, March 8 and Maryland effective today, March 12. In addition, Massachusetts removed all restaurant capacity limits as of the first of March while the governors of Connecticut, New York and New Jersey have announced that restaurant capacities within their state jurisdictions will increase as of next Friday, March 19 to 75% for New York (outside of New York City), up to 50% in New Jersey and all the way to 100% in Connecticut.
