Efforts by New York Governor Cuomo, thinly veiled as they may be, to increase minimum wages paid to fast food workers in the Empire State, are seemingly going as planned with his Wage Board holding a hearing this past Monday in New York City.  Cuomo appointed the wage Board last month with the express goal of “considering” whether the minimum wage for fast food workers only (at least, for the time being) should be increased.  The New York City hearing was the second public hearing held by the Board – the first being held in Buffalo, whose Mayor serves on the Board, earlier this month.
