There are a couple of important dates upcoming that might have slipped under the radar and we want to be sure you are aware of them – for small business owners across the country, March 2, 2017 is the last date of the extended deadline for delivery of the 2016 Form 1095-C to your employees; in the same vein, employers who are manually filing paper versions of Form 1094-B and Form 1095-C with the IRS must do so by February 28, 2017; while those filing Form 1094-B and Form 1095-C electronically with the IRS have until March 31, 2017; in California, a new requirement for single-user bathrooms to be gender neutral takes effect on March 1, 2017; and back in New York, new rules for employers using direct deposit become effective on March 7, 2017. Forewarned is forearmed!
