The Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division has given notice that the minimum wage required to be paid by all federal contractors to workers performing under those contracts will increase effective January 1, 2016. Notwithstanding that the minimum for these workers was increased to $10.10 per hour on January 1 of this year, it will rise again to $10.15 per hour effective with the coming new year.  As evidence that enough is never enough when the government gets involved, recall that President Obama began the rising minimum wage tide back in his 2014 State of the Union address when he announced plans to increase the federal minimum by Executive Order to $10.10!
