The US Department of Labor Wage & Hour Division will present the final webinar in its series, “Navigating COVID-19: A Virtual Guide for the Employment Community” at 1:00 PM CDT next Tuesday, July 28. In conjunction with the Internal Revenue Service  (IRS), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Small Business Administration (SBA), this 1-hour DOL program will address the paid sick leave and family and medical leave requirements of the Families First Coronavirus Relief Act (FFCRA). DOL, again joining with the IRS and SBA, is also introducing a new webinar series, “Coronavirus Tax Relief for Employers and Business Owners”, with the first offering being held next Thursday, July 30 at 2:00 PM CDT.  This program will address Employee Retention Credits, Paid Sick Leave and Paid Child Care Leave, and offers a credit on employment taxes to business owners who participate.  There is no cost to attend, but as space is limited, registration is required. Additional presentations of this webinar are also scheduled for Tuesday, August 11 and Tuesday, August 25, each at 10 AM CDT.
