We noted there is ’life after Dunkin’ for a couple of Dunkin’ veterans, as a limited exodus continues from Canton. First off, Dunkin’ Legal Counsel David Mann left the company last month to become an Angel Investor with Launchpad Venture Group LLC, an investment network funding early-stage companies. In his LinkedIn message, Mann explained that he was “. . . taking some time off right now from the legal world”. Elsewhere, it was announced that Dallas-based Smoothie King Franchises, Inc has hired Shawn Caric as the Vice President of Franchise Development for the 1,300-unit brand. Caric, who previously served as Director of Development for Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins in the Midwest region, was most recently VP of Franchise Development with Qdoba Mexican Eats. In the new post, he will be charged with recruiting new franchisees to meet the company’s aggressive long-term growth plans. We wish both he and David the very best of luck and much success in their new endeavors!
