Entrepreneur Magazine released its annual Franchise 500 report last week and for the first time in the 40 year history of the Franchise 500, Dunkin’ came out on top – the # 1 franchise! Not that that result should be a surprise as Dunkin’ has “made the grade” and been ranked in each of those 40 years – placing in the top 10 a total of 17 times and in 2nd place in 3 separate decades, but now it is the best of the best! The Franchise 500 results are based on 5 components including: 1) costs & fees; 2) size & growth; 3) support; 4) Brand strength and finally, 5) Financial strength & stability. Congratulations are due all around – to Dunkin’ franchisees (the face of the brand) as well as corporate leaders and personnel on a 40-year job well done!
