Dunkin’ made quite the splash this past week with its announcement that Rafael Acevedo had been named to the position of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for Dunkin’. Acevedo, filling a position that’s been vacant since Tony Weisman left the company in 2019, comes to Dunkin’ from Coca-Cola, where he most recently served as Vice President of Marketing. He’ll report directly to Dunkin’ President Scott Murphy and we want to welcome Rafael to the Dunkin’ family and wish him much success in his new capacity! Dunkin’ again held onto the number 8 spot in the Nation’s Restaurant News annual listing of the top 500 Countdown and the 50 biggest restaurants in America. McDonald’s remains the largest in the nation with just under $40 billion in US Systemwide Sales; followed by Starbucks with $18.7 and Taco Bell with $11.3 billion.
