The annual Technomic Report on the Top 500 Largest chain restaurants was released earlier in the spring and Dunkin’ remained the 6th largest chain in America. With over 9200 locations and $10.4 billion in sales, Dunkin’ trailed Wendy’s, Taco Bell, Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, and McDonald’s, which retains the #1 slot as America’s largest. Size didn’t seem to help any QSRs in the American Customer Satisfaction Index Restaurant Study for 2022 released last week. Chick-fil-A led the study for the 8th year in a row with a score of 83, holding even with prior year scores. Unfortunately, fast food restaurants in the aggregate dropped in satisfaction by 2.6% while Dunkin’ experienced the largest decrease (4%) to a score of 74, down from 77. Full-service restaurants held steady with a score of 80, the same as they scored in 2021.
