On June 3, more than 1,700 Dunkin’ Donuts locations in Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island will be participating in the Override fuel rewards program. Savings earned at Dunkin’ Donuts can be redeemed at participating Gulf Oil and Irving Oil locations throughout New England.

More than $13 million has been returned to Override participants since the program was introduced in July 2007. Dunkin’ Donuts locations in Maine and New Hampshire joined Override in 2008, and continue to offer savings at more than 350 sites in those two New England states.

Customers register a Dunkin’ Donuts Card at www.dunkindonuts.com. When purchases at a participating Dunkin’ Donuts total $20 on their registered card, customers will earn five cents off the price of a gallon of gasoline at participating Irving stations.
The savings are valid for 30 days, and customers can combine the savings they have earned during any 30-day period to lower their price of gasoline even more. The registered Dunkin’ Donuts Card used to make purchases can be swiped directly at the pump or redeemed inside the store at a participating Irving to redeem the savings.

Customers can also earn savings at about 200 participating Shaw’s Supermarkets and Star Market locations throughout all of the New England.

“Adding this many Dunkin’ Donuts locations into the Override loop is a milestone for the program,” said Mike Crosby, CEO of Override. “The only thing people have to do to lower their price of gas is shop the way they always do.”

Updates on Override can also be found on Facebook and at www.twitter.com/override.

Override, created in July 2007, is a network of retail brands that provides consumers an opportunity to lower their individual price of gasoline at the pump. Consumers can earn fuel savings at participating Shaw’s Supermarkets and Dunkin’ Donuts, and the opportunity to save is also offered to 27,000 Shaw’s employees through the Override employee program. Gas savings are redeemable at more than 420 participating Irving fuel locations throughout New England.
