The big news for the Dunkin’ franchise owner community this week was the official announcement that David Hoffman has taken over as new CEO of Dunkin’ Brands effective immediately and on behalf of DDIFO and her many members, I want to sincerely congratulate him on his promotion and wish him well in his new role! The change was announced by DBI on Wednesday morning, although it had been anticipated since Hoffman came on board a year-and-a-half ago as President of Dunkin’ Donuts USA. Hoffman, who came to Dunkin’ after 22 years with McDonald’s Corporation, ultimately rose to the position of President, High Growth Markets for the Golden Arches. In that capacity, his responsibilities involved significant work with China, South Korea, Russia and an array of European markets. Since he joined Dunkin’ back in 2016, he has made an impact all across the footprint with the implementation of his Blueprint for Growth and his “open and approachable” leadership style has been well received by the franchise owner community. Here is an interview Hoffman had with The Street after his promotion was announced. Congratulations, David! And, thank you for a job well-done, Nigel!
