The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has provided important guidance on the resumption of the E-Verify system. Please be advised that for each new employee hired while the system was down during the shutdown, employers MUST create an E-Verify case by Monday, February 11, 2019. According to DHS, all features and services of E-Verify are now available, including the ability to resolve a DHS Tentative Nonconfirmation (TNC). Employers however, may experience longer-than-usual processing times as the department catches up on the large volume of cases backlogged during the shutdown.
