And, it becomes effective July 1, with a deferred effective date for select employers.  The state’s Attorney General Maura Healey has offered a safe harbor for an additional six months to employers who had a paid sick leave policy of at least 30 hours per year in place by May 1, 2015.  The Attorney General is expected to issue the final regulations next week.  Her guidance and more detail on the earned sick leave requirement can be found on the Attorney General’s website.
