We want to remind those covered employers that the extension granted for employers required to file EEO-1 reports will expire on October 25, just 10 days from today! You’ll recall that back in the summer months, EEOC also made it quite clear at the time that the new deadline would be final and not further extensions would be granted. Consequently, covered employers should get their reports ready and filed as soon as possible. At the time of the extension, EEOC also reported that beginning this year, the EEO Joint Reporting Commission would need to review – and approve – the 2019 filing before the employer would be allowed to file its 2020 data, which the Commission must also review and approve. For this reason, it’s imperative you get your reports prepared and filed as soon as possible.
