The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) yesterday released new data via the agency website and added a new visualization tool for the public to view aggregated data about charges of discrimination filed with the agency for the past 25 years. The data dump includes the 2019 and 2020 EEO-1 Component 1 data for private employers with 100 or more employees as well as federal contractors with 50 or more employees. The release also included similar employment demographic data for referral local unions (2020 EEO-3 data), 2021 EEO-4 data for state and local government as well as 2020 EEO-5 data for public elementary and secondary schools. In addition, the agency is also moving static data tables for earlier years to EEOC Explore, a more dynamic platform where the public can access and more easily customize data results.
