The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has announced that collections for the 2019 and 2020 EEO-1 Component 1 Data that was postponed in 2020 will begin in April 2021. In light of the coronavirus pandemic and the accompanying business shutdowns, data collection was postponed last year. In addition, a study was contracted for by the Trump administration to consider the usefulness of the data that businesses were being required to maintain and submit. As they have in the past, EEOC will send a notification letter to eligible filers with the specific collection dates closer to the filing deadline, but we wanted to advise you now on the April target date so that you can be prepared to comply with the reporting requirement at the appropriate time. There is no pay data collection component to the EEO-1 reports at this time.
