Amazingly, Obamacare has been the law of the land for the better part of a decade now (signed by President Obama on March 23, 2010), but it continues to deteriorate before our eyes as more insurers across the country opt-out of the government exchanges and premiums in some states jump by as much as 50%! President Trump was in Ohio yesterday to talk about the Affordable Care Act and his efforts to repeal and replace it. Until that happens however, small business men and woman must meet its mandates and we want to remind you of that obligation periodically. Toward that end, we remind you that there are health care tax credits available for qualified small businesses to help reduce the costs of providing health care options to your employees. It might be worth the effort for small businesses with fewer than 25 employees who earn an average wage of less than $50,000 and pay at least 50% of employee premiums through the SHOP marketplace to check out the Small Business Health Care Tax Credit. The money you save may be your own!
