Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton endorsed mandatory paid sick leave for all employees across the nation.  Joining New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who had just signed the New York paid leave mandate as part of the state budget, Clinton told a labor rally at the Javitts Convention Center on Monday that she would “proudly take what’s happened here in New York and go to Washington to get paid family leave for everyone.”  Two days later speaking to a labor convention in Philadelphia, she again endorsed raising the federal minimum wage and promised that if elected, “organized labor will always have a champion in the White House and a seat at the table.”  The New York and Pennsylvania primaries will both be held later this month.
