The House Consumer Affairs Committee of the Pennsylvania Legislature will be holding an important public hearing on HB 1620 , filed by Representative Peter Daley on Tuesday, November 19.  We will be testifying on behalf of DDIFO members along with Coalition of Franchisee Association (CFA) Chairman Keith Miller, but we would encourage many other franchisees to consider testifying as well.  HB 1620 is a comprehensive bill that covers many of the items in the Universal Franchisee Bill of Rights.  We need to get the word out and get as many franchisees as possible to contact their elected representative in Pennsylvania to support the bill and ideally, to attend the hearing.  Check the CFAVotes website regularly for a sample letter (coming soon) and instructions for contacting your PA legislator.  We would also ask interested franchisees to let us know how they would like to be supportive and provide their contact information to us as soon as possible.  Only with a large showing of support will this important bill move forward in Pennsylvania.  You are the investors, the employers and the business taxpayers in PA, that’s why your support of this legislation is so important to your representatives.  Let them know!
