Dunkin’ Donuts locations have been popping up on college campuses at a steady rate over the past five years as part of the brand’s strategy of opening alternative points of distribution—college campuses, train stations, supermarkets and military bases. In the past year, more than seven college campus locations flipped on their coffee-makers, including Wayne State University in Michigan, the University of Alabama-Huntsville and Norwich University in Vermont. Two locations opened at the University of Rhode Island and a second location opened at Westfield State University in Massachusetts. Two others – Brandeis University and Merrimack College – opened in Dunkin’s home state.
