irs-building-2-resize-380x300182-resize-380x3001-resize-380x300Over the long Labor Day holiday weekend, (not the best release time for getting the public to take notice of government regulations), the IRS released a guidance on the upcoming implementation of the employer mandate. The guidance acts essentially as a “how to comply” cheat sheet for employers regarding the impending employer mandate requirements as dictated by the Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. Obama Care.  As we’ve advised you in past issues, the employer mandate has been delayed twice, but will take effect on January 1, 2015 and employers must know how to comply with its provisions.  The guidance is a 13 page document that has been posted on the IRS web site.  Be sure that those responsible for your company’s compliance with the ACA are completely up to date on the current implementation schedule and the requirements of Obama Care in 2015.
