Exactly one half of all states in the country, 25 states, are officially “right-to-work” states and now, the odds are that Kentucky could become #26 with last week’s election of right-to-work supporter Matt Bevin as Kentucky Governor. Bevin ran on a platform that staunchly supported enacting right to work laws in Kentucky. “Right-to-work” laws allow for workers to opt-out of paying union dues and the trend has been spreading across the country for a number of years. With the Republican Bevin in the corner office and Senate control in the hands of right-to-work republicans, Kentucky could quickly become the 26th!
