DDIFO President Jim Coen has hired Kim Margolis as Executive Coordinator. Kim brings more than 15 years of corporate, community and civic experience in marketing and event management as well as a background working with member-based organizations. In her new role with DDIFO, Kim will assist with administering sponsorship and membership programs, including organizing members’ meetings.
“What drew me to this position is that the DDIFO is such a well-established association with an organized, cohesive membership base that continues to grow,” Kim said. “I am excited about the many opportunities this organization has for development and the variety of unique projects and challenges that it offers.”
“Kim brings invaluable professional experience and superb organizational skills to DDIFO,” said Jim Coen. “I’m confident that the contributions she’ll make as Executive Coordinator will enable the organization to continue its unprecedented growth and expansion.”
For the past 10 years, Kim has been a stay-at-home mom. During that time, she remained active in her community through numerous volunteer positions, putting her skills to work for the Wakefield Educational Foundation, Parent-Teacher Organization and School Council among others. Prior to that time, Kim served as Director of Interactive Marketing for Eversave.com, a coupon and deal-of-the-day website similar to Groupon, and as Senior Marketing Communications Manager for Ziff-Davis Events.
While at Eversave, which had a member base of more than 2 million, Kim cultivated relationships with external vendors and developed ROI measurement systems for interactive marketing campaigns. At Ziff-Davis, Kim coordinated the annual COMDEX expo, one of the largest computer trade shows in the world. She oversaw all aspects of communications, promotions and marketing for the huge event.
“I’m eager to get started, and look forward to enhancing DDIFO’s sponsorship and membership programs,” said Kim. “Additionally, I want to explore ways to help the organization expand its online presence, ideally through social media platforms.”
In her spare time, Kim enjoys staying active and being outside, and even took part in two sprint triathlons last summer. She lives in Wakefield, Massachusetts with her husband Dave and their three children.
