Since the democrat party succeeded in flipping the US House in the 2018 midterm elections, the anticipation has been that President Trump will be subjected to 2 years of non-stop Congressional hearings and inquiries. It seems now however, that the first target of the democratic House may actually be Labor Secretary Alex Acosta. None other than Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz started the ball rolling when she called for an investigation in Acosta’s tenure as a federal prosecutor for a 2007 plea he accepted from billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. An investigation by the Miami Herald resurrected the case and in light of additional information that became known in subsequent years, the plea deal looks more like a slap on the wrist. Last week, 6 other democratic reps signed on with Schultz call for an investigation. Ironically, Schultz served as Chairman of the Democratic National Committee in 2016 until she had to resign in the wake of the email scandal and those emails showed the rigging of the convention against Bernie Sanders.
