We would remind all of our members with franchises in Massachusetts that the Commonwealth implemented a new earned sick leave law which took effect one year ago, in July, 2015.  The Attorney General’s office has developed a very informative and easy-to-navigate web site to provide detailed guidance on what the law requires of employers.  The site was updated in December, 2015 with the most recent regulations on the mandate.  In addition, the full text of the law is available there as well as a very helpful “Frequently Asked Questions” page and other information to help you ensure you’re in compliance.
