No doubt the NLRB wouldn’t see this as an ‘unfair labor practice’, but the SEIU – USWW (Service Employees International Union United Service Workers West) along with the Food Chain Workers Alliance and a host of others are calling for another nationwide one-day strike on May 1. The liberal media organization, Buzzfeed (more Fake News?), reported that 350,000 people will not report to work on May 1, adopted in 1889 by the International Socialist Conference as International Workers’ Day. According to the advocates’ website, the strike (which they’re calling “A Day without People” – really?) is being called to protest President Trump’s policies as well as “government and corporate interests” for their efforts to escalate immigration raids; violate Native sovereignty; drive down wages and just about everything else under the sun!
