Well, with all the news notoriety from McDonald’s this week, we figured they should have their own paragraph this week. The biggest shock from the Golden Arches came with the firing of CEO Steve Easterbrook for his involvement in “an inappropriate consensual relationship with an employee” that violated company policies. That action was immediately followed by the departure of Chief People Officer David Fairhurst. The company also parted ways recently with the Chief Marketing Officer and the Chief Communications Officer. After being named McDonald’s new CEO, Chris Kempczinski, formerly the company’s US President, joined Chairman of the Board Enrique Hernandez for a town hall where they asked company employees to “re-enlist” in the company’s mission and “do the right thing every day!”
