Tying to the issue of fair franchising, a story in Bloomberg reports that a minor revolt is in play within the McDonalds franchise community as the franchisor seeks to improve the company’s bottom line at the expense of the individual franchisees – increasingly charging franchisees more costs including rent, remodeling and training and software fees – déjà vu all over again?
