We noted a few weeks ago that the International Coffee Organization (ICO) released its annual coffee report. The ICO expects production to be lower for 2020, declining by just less than 1% at 167.4M bags. The full ICO report, which can be accessed here, points to a slowdown in the global economy as well as a decline in Brazil’s Arabica output in its off-year of the crop cycle as the primary culprits. On another subject, KeyBank recently released its 2019 Financial Confidence Survey Report, part of the company’s Key4Women Initiative. The survey of 250 women small business owners found 71% of the respondents to be “highly optimistic” that they will achieve their business goals in the next 12 months. Furthermore, 90% of those surveyed plan on expanding their businesses within the next two years! Their optimism represents a 5% increase over last year’s results.
