Although it appears there may still be a good amount of franchisee discontent within the Jack in the Box system, most of the franchisees are likely smiling this week after CEO Lenny Comma announced that he is stepping down after 6 years as CEO. His announcement underscores the power of a franchisee association and the positive impact it can have when necessary. The National Jack-in-the-Box Franchisee Association came out with a vote of no confidence in Comma about a year and a half ago and has been pushing for his departure since. Comma is staying on to assist with finding and transitioning to his successor.
