It was announced this week that JAB Holdings, the owner of a number of QSR brands and coffee brands in particular, will be combining some of those coffee brands and taking them public. Specifically, it was reported earlier this week that JAB will merge Peets Coffee with Jacobs Douwe Egberts and issue an IPO for the consolidated company, which will be known as JDE Peet’s. And last week, PepsiCo announced that it would be entering the R-T-D coffee market in April of next year with the launch of Pepsi Café, a blend of Arabica coffee and Pepsi Cola. The United Health Association earlier this month released its 2019 Annual Report containing the latest ranking of states by health. The study found the healthiest states to be Vermont, Massachusetts, Hawaii, Connecticut and Utah, while Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama and Oklahoma were listed as the least healthy.
