A new report has been made available by Cole Market Research focusing on the global coffee market as the COVID-19 pandemic is said to have created an unfavorable impact with production, exports and imports of coffee and related products significantly reduced. Similarly, a Reuters story run earlier this month highlighted potential problems with the arabica harvest this year in South America due to the high incidence of coronavirus and the impact the pandemic may have on the availability of migrant workers. And finally, the Dunkin’ share of coffee app downloads rose 3 points to 29% from the 26% share it enjoyed in 2019 according to Seeking Alpha. As to the other players in the market, Starbucks continues to lead with 54%, but that figure is down 8 points from the 62% share it enjoyed last year. Krispy Kreme saw a jump in app downloads from 8% in 2019 to 12% this year while Tim Horton’s came in a 4% for 2020, up from 2% last year.
