We want to offer well-deserved congratulations to National DCP CEO Scott Carter on his selection by Food Logistics as one of its Rock Stars of the Supply Chain award winners for 2017. Carter was credited specifically with generating more than $340 million in cumulative savings for members and improving perfect order metrics by more than 38 percent over the 650,000 deliveries the NDCP makes annually to Dunkin’ stores across the country. Congratulations, Scott on a job well-done!  We also took note this week that coffee consumption rebounded in 2016 from slower consumption in prior years as reported in a National Coffee Association report. According to the NCA’s 2017 National Coffee Drinking Trends report, frequency of daily coffee consumption was up across all age categories, while daily consumption of ‘gourmet’ coffee was up as well, significantly and also for all age categories.
