Elsewhere in this issue, we referenced a recent report by wallethub.com identifying the Best and Worst Run Cities across the nation. For those who didn’t read that far on Philadelphia, you may want to check out their results. Washington DC took 1st place as the worst of the lot, followed by Detroit, New York and San Francisco. Nampa and Boise in Idaho came in 1st and 3rd respectively, with Provo, Utah sandwiched in between. The study makes for an interesting, if not surprising, read. The US economy continued to roll in with good news last week when the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported an addition of 209,000 jobs in the month of July and the unemployment rate dropping to 4.3 percent. Dunkin’ franchise owners know how strong the economy is as it becomes increasingly more difficult to find the workers needed to run our stores.
